WORLD CUP BETTING: Half-time/Full-time.
A friend of mine suggested to me that to bet on a half-time/full-time was the way forward. If you bet on team A to be winning at half-time and team B to be winning by full-time you’ll usually get odds from 20-1 to 33-1. He was betting on A h/t B f/t and B h/f and A f/t, covering both angles. Due to the fact that the odds are high he only needs one of the bets to win to be in a small profit. However looking at the results so far is this a theory to persue?
There have been 17 matches so far and a half-time/full-time turn around has happened twice:
South Korea v Togo 2 - 1 (0 - 1)
Australia v Japan 3 - 1 (0 - 1)
The odds for these would have been in the 20-1 mark as the stronger time ended up winning the games, so that would be at least £40. With 32 losing bets that’s a small profit of £8. It’s probably a theory best left to the group stages, as when it gets to the knock-out stages except to see many more draws at half-time, with no team wanting to give anything away too early on. The trouble is that the odds for a half-time draw and a full-time result aren’t great so you’d need more that your fair share coming in.
VOUCHERS
So I’ve been doing the CD-WOW scorecast and have got over £5 worth of vouchers. I have yet to get a correct score to win myself a £2 voucher, but I think my England 8-0 scorecast could be the one that wins it for me!
