Graham Poll gets it all wrong in the Croatia, Australia game. Personally I think that Simunic should have been told to “piss off” long before he was, he was always heavy-handed in his protests making Roy Keane’s look a bit girlie. I also question the honesty of players, but maybe football is not that type of game. Surely Simunic must have known that was his second yellow and should have walked. Think of cricket, if a player doesn’t walk straight away it does tend to be fround upon.
Still Poll should know what the deal is having sent off two players already. Moreover how or why he didn’t give the second penalty for hand ball is unbelievable, he was right by it! Oh well Graham, get ready for a load of stick from the fans next season!
