[video] Japan’s Greatest Goal?

In a friendly played on 18th February 2006 against Finland Japan midfielder Ogasawara thought he would try his luck from 57m. Amazingly it went in to seal a 2-0 victory.

Listen out for the commentator who cannot contain his excitement/joy/surprise and starts laughing.

“Spotting Finland keeper Mikko Kaven off his line, the pint-sized midfielder let fly with a shot that seemed to hang in the cold night air for an eternity before nestling in the back of the net.”
