What makes a great football bet?

The art of a great bet is to find a bet with good odds that is likely to win. Not winning obviously presents some problems, as in you will be worse off than had you of placed the bet. This is not a desireable sistuation, so try and avoid this.

Only bet with money that you can afford to lose. I guess you really have to ask yourself can anybody afford to lose money? If you haven't got two government sponsored pennies to rub together then the likihood is that you shouldn't bet. I am not an expert but heed my advise on that one. Betting in hope is a hopeless thing to do.

On the other hand if you are rolling is cash thanks to a housing benefit miscalculation then why not cross your fingers and have a small wager?
